The rapid development of information and communication technologies (ICT) has brought about many changes and new approaches in the way people learn, work, conduct businesses and communicate.

To enable women and youth from rural and semi urban areas to benefit from ICT development the PJJ-OK training programs were conducted in many identified places where access to ICT/internets were limited. Training equipment such as computers, internet modem and printers was set up in places such as community halls, schools and mosques. Women and girls were taught on how to use ICT for writing and sending letters, browsing websites and the use of printers. Additionally they were also taught on other ICT tools on how to make flyers, brochures invitation and wishing cards.

To keep abreast with ICT development, changes and its benefit to women entrepreneurs, vocational and entrepreneurial with ICT training modules were created for women. Thus In addition to ICT, women were also trained in tailoring, beauty, hairdressing and baking skills for income generating opportunities. For the youth, training on computer repair skills and English communication skills were added in the programmes to prepare them for the job markets and higher learning institutions.
